Hey you all. If you know the flop has nothing to do with casual thonged footwear and the turn and river are NOT directions to the pub, listen up. It is time to play competitive poker people! At Juicy Stakes we schedule regular poker tournaments online – and everyone is welcome!

If tap-to-play poker is not your thing, there is an infinite selection of live poker tournaments – and they are hosted in exotic destinations all over the world. You could be in gunning for €20K GTD in the Lúnasa Lunacy Mystery Bounty one day. The next, it could be off to Las Vegas for the WSOP Main Event!

Poker Tournaments With Variable Buy-Ins and GTD Prize Pools

You do not have to be a big dawg or even a high roller to compete. There are plenty of live events that have buy-ins for mid rollers like you. They range from a few dollars, pounds or Euro to a little more than that.

Switch across to Juicy Stakes Poker and tournament fees are affordable, prize pools are neat and you do not have to spend a dime on flights, food or accommodation. All the action is laid out on one compact platform – and it is an agile and fully responsive one at that!

That gives you choices, folks. You can ante up in your PJs and slippers and quaff home-ground coffee by the bucket load. That is the one option; to get your thrills in our bounty, sit & go, Gold Chips and Fast Fortune poker tournaments right now.

The other option is to dress smart and board the cheapest flight to Paris, London, Rozvadov, Bucharest or Bratislava. The destination doesn’t really matter. The reason? You are one hundred precent likely to find a live tourney somewhere near you!

Here is a roundup of the biggest, the best, the quickest and the most fun poker tournaments – live and online. These are the events where you can compete against the top guns or players who are still learning their trade. It is where everyone has an equal chance of winning a (small) fortune!

World Series of Poker (WSOP)

This behemoth has grown from a Binion exclusive, with just one event and a handful of players to the biggest darn poker extravaganza on the planet.  The 55th and latest edition of the WSOP had 136 events and a grand total of 10,112 runners.

In 2024, three new formats were added to the schedule. For the first time ever there was a Mixed No Limit Holdem and Pot Limit Double Bomb Pot event. That was joined by a High Roller splash down for Seniors – or should we say splash out! The final addition to the event schedule was a Pot Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty tournament – but that won’t interest Texas Holdem fans, like you!

As for the money? In this year’s edition no fewer than 11 events paid out $1 million and more, with the winner of the Main Event scooping up $10 million in cash. This time around the accolades went to Jonathan Tamayo, a guy who has just 3 final tables and 68 money finishes.

Not the 1 Dude Million and More Show

That is the beauty of of poker tournaments like the WSOP. It is not a ‘one dude million and more’ show. Anyone who competes in events like the $1k Mystery Millions No Limit Holdem, 10K Pot Limit Championship or one of the three Hight Roller No Limit Holdem events can waddle away with serious coin in the pocket.

For the really big cheese, we suggest you go for the likes of the $250K Super High Roller No Limit Holdem. It paid out more than $5.4 million in one luscious lump sum. What is there not to like about that?

Now, the WSOP Main Event is only one of heaps of poker tournaments hosted under the brand. You can literally do a quick-step around the globe and a keep a bracelet or two well within sight. The WSOP is big but the attendance figures are off the charts. You have to know your stuff – and then some – to be in the money!

World Poker Tour (WPT)

Besides the WSOP, the World Poker Tour is one of the longest running and best loved poker tournaments around. As of 2002, it has been hosting sell-out live events, first in the USA, later Europe and, most recently, right across the globe.

Some of the standout tourneys in 2024 had stops in Korea, Choctaw, Montreal and Australia. Prize pools regularly tipped the scales at more than $1 million, with the likes of WPT Cambodia ($2,432,760), WPT Alpha 8 Trifecta ($2,796,300) and WPT Seminole Hardrock (5,980,800) spewing out loot.

All the action culminates in the end of year WPT World Championship, the key poker tournament with a $10k buy-in and guarantees of around $40 million plus! If buy-ins of $3,5k to $25k are too rich for your blood, there is an alternative.

WPT Prime

In 2022, the WPT Prime was introduced to target mid-stakes players. In this series buy-ins are infinitely more affordable and are typically around $1,100. It too is a global poker circus with stops in Europe, the Far East and Australia. Heck, there is even an event aboard a cruise ship – the aptly named WPT Prime Voyage Championship!

Prime prize pools hover in the range of $500,000 to just over $1 million. The one exception is the WPT Prime World Championship. In 2023, the event attracted 10,500 entries and way more than the initial $5 million GTD!

UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT)

The UK and Ireland Poker Tour is a regional showpiece established in 2009 for mid rollers. It primarily hosts tournaments in major cities like Dublin, Galway, Coventry and Edinburgh, with an occasional foray into continental Europe.

Buy-ins are low cost, prize pools are attractive and the tour is notable for its fun, relaxed festival vibe. This year’s schedule included the Irish Open with its €1 million GTD main event. It attracted 3,233 players with the eventual prize pool soaring to more than €3,15 million.

Another event that generated more than €1,1 million in prize money was UKIP Malaga. Next on the agenda is the €1m GTD UKIP Nottingham, followed by Women’s Winter Festival with its £400 buy-in and £100k guarantee!

Juicy Stakes Poker Tournaments (JSPT)

Juicy Stakes has been hosting online poker tournaments since 2009. Formats range from bounty and sit & go’s to Fast Fortune events, with their randomized prize pools and hyper-turbo action. Depending upon your choice of tourney, buy-ins range from just $0.25 to $115 plus!

One of our most popular events is the Gold Chips tournament. In this format, the cost is covered by our version of in-game currency. Why not register an account and explore the Juicy Stakes tournament schedule now. You are GTD to find an event that suits your prowess and your pocket!
